Lissa Nunweiler (Vessel Design Studio Creative Director), and SmartDesign Group worked closely with UBC School of Law Faculty, UBC Properties and Administrators to complete a comprehensive Donor Recognition program, way-finding system and sponsorship opportunities for this beautiful new faculty building. Through multiple stakeholder interviews and assessment, a collective vision was designed to acknowledge the needs and desires of all parties involved. This project team also worked collectively with members of the Musqueam Nation to integrate language and culture as this building stands on first Nations traditional territory. Vessel Studio also completed Environmental Graphic Production Management with CEI Architects, UBC Properties, Cheryl MacMillan Interior Design as well as Diamond + Schmitt Architects and Planners.

This Environmental Graphic Design project was done in collaboration with our client Whole Foods Market (Kirkland Washington) as well as SmartDesign Group (Vancouver). We worked together to create a shopping experience that was exciting and colorful, inspiring the shopper to immerse themselves in culinary delight. We included community sense of place with a creative direction that tells a story about Burnaby specifically, so those that shoppers know that their Whole Foods Market embraces locality, from product right through to design.
An interactive educational experience was created for the University of British Columbia's Pharmaceutical Sciences school, called "The Story of Medicines". Lissa Nunweiler (creative Director for Vessel Studio), did the creative concept development for this space in collaboration with NGX Media, as well as SmartDesign Group. We like to show how the initial rendering of this space is so closely represented in the finished photography of the space.

Working closely with BCNU, KBMR Architects Planners Inc. well as Ritter Aalhus Construction Management Inc., Vessel Design Studio created an environmental Design project that closely encompassed the BCNU brand, as well as decorated the space. This project was artistically rendered with intentional pieces that tell a story true to nursing. Multiculturalism, diversity and professionalism were of key importance in this project. Auditing and repurposing what was important and valued historically was of great importance, as well as choosing art to display from the greater community BCNUs members live and work in.
Vessel Design Studio and SmartDesign Group team up to create a cost effective Environmental graphic design scheme that can be easily rolled out in multiple locations and existing stores. The creative concept was intended to embrace the diverse cultures of the communities that these stores live in.
We worked together with SmartDesign Group to create a true West Coast, Puget Sound community Market Concept. With colors found in nature, textures and typography that speak to a historic quality, we created a fun and dynamic environment for Chambers bay, a lovely oceanside community outside Tacoma Washington.
Vessel Design Studio and SmartDesign Group together set out to design this new market in Greenway (tri-cities area of Oregon). It is meant to express its community through nature, expressions of farming and wineries.
